A pair of beautiful vintage Tibet butter lamps with four Buddhist good luck symbols around the chalice. It features Two Golden Fish symbolizing being saved from suffering and earthly life, Knot of Eternity representing the perfection of knowledge and the intertwining of compassion and wisdom, Vase of Great Treasures represents longevity, prosperity, and the perfect nature of the dharma, and the Dharma Wheel encouraging the benefitting of others by turning the Wheel of Dharma. The knop is richly decorated and the tall stand is formed like lotus petals. Butter lamps are often lit during meditation, ceremonies, and special occasions, and the soft glow from the lamp is said to represent the pursuit of illumination of wisdom and enlightenment.

Gorgeous vintage Art Nouveau style silver plated basket with a beautiful swing handle, decorated with flowers, grapes and vines.The shaped oval body pierced along the sides and has a hand engraved central cartouch on both sides. The body is applied with a rim or border of cast leaf-capped scrolling grape vine. Very Art Nouveau but also very Persian. possibly from Ishfahan.~ Eina Ahluwalia
