Gorgeous base of a vintage rose water sprinkler, gulab pash or gulabaz. The entire body is decorated in repoussé with a lion head to each side on a ground of floral interlace flanked by angels in high relief. In the middle is a cartouche with some very light engraving. It stands on a splayed foot and is crowned by a flower shape which has the opening where the finial would have been. A piece similar to this belonged to the palace of Maharana of Udaipur. May be a mix of silver and other metals. From late 1800s to early 1900s India.
