Beautiful Japanese porcelain plate with an Arabic inscription in gold that reads “Kaptaan Ahmed Bawa Qazi”. The inscription has two flags flanking it, both with the crescent and a star, one in green and one in red. This may symbolise the flag of Hyderabad during the period 1900–1947 which had the crescent and a star and was half red and half green. The back has a makers mark and reads Made in Japan. Early 1900s.
Approximate dimensions : 7.2 inches in diameter, 1.2 inches in depth; approximately 195 grams in weight.
